Layori - New artist at VO Music

We are proud to have Layori joining our roster Layori, whose latest album “Rebirth” is now released on Afro-Jam Music, is an artist perfectly attuned to the times we live in. Not only is she gifted with beauty, intelligence and exceptional ability, but there’s also a soulful honesty that courses throughout everything she touches. Add to this an abiding sense of personal identity and far-ranging worldview and we’re presented with a singer who describes her music as “modern, elegant, fashionable, but with an African touch.” In fact it’s enchanting – an amalgamation of jazz, soul and pop that’s full of melody and remarkably easy on the ear, and yet it’s also rooted in personal truth, which lends it strength and transparency. Her new album Rebirth has been released in February and Layori will be in concert in Paris at Sunside on 29 mars 2013

Omer Avital - New artist at VO Music

We are proud to have Omer Avital joining our roster. Avital is one of the most exciting musicians to come onto the jazz scene in the last 20 years. His live shows are pure joy... hard-driving jazz with a new soul for a new era. Omer Avital is a visionary composer and virtuoso musician whose genre-efying ensembles are pushing the boundaries of jazz expression and providing audiences with wing and spiritual sustenance in equal measure. Avital’s compositions range from sophisticated jazz conversations to funky, Middle-Eastern grooves to long-form, orchestral arrangements of traditional Sephardi music. With his latest offering, Suite of the East, Omer has turned his traditional jazz sensibility to the performance of Middle Eastern and North African music. The hard-charging,reflective and joyful CD was chosen by TSF Jazz as Album of the Year in France and picked for NPR Music's Top 10 Jazz Albums of 2012.
