Born in Le Havre, French trumpeter Ludovic Louis blends jazz, funk, soul, and Caribbean colors into a powerful and distinctive sound.
After an early breakthrough in Paris performing with Jimmy Cliff and the Cuban hip-hop band Orishas, he joined forces with Lenny Kravitz in 2009 — a collaboration that led to over a decade of worldwide touring and recording. In 2013, Ludovic moved to Los Angeles, where he has shared the stage with global stars including Camila Cabello, the Black Eyed Peas, Patrice Rushen, and Lady Gaga. In February 2026, he also performed at the Super Bowl 60 halftime show alongside Bad Bunny.
Beyond music, he made his on-screen debut in Damien Chazelle’s Netflix series The Eddy and later recorded trumpet parts for Chazelle’s film Babylon.
As a solo artist, Ludovic has released two acclaimed albums: Rebirth (2021) and If Everything Is Written (2024), both of which embody his free-spirited, vibrant musical universe.
That same year, he co-signed the soundtrack to the film Fanon, confirming his place as one of today’s most versatile and adventurous musicians
